Who Are the Community Stakeholders

There are three key players in every community: Builders, Makers and Weavers.

The work of builders is to externalize the story of the community in the public domain. This can take the form of actual buildings, but also includes the visual images used to inform and influence those outside of the local community.

Makers also contribute to the overall story of a community. However, their work may take place on a smaller scale, in private spaces or for the benefit of the local economy.

The role of the weavers is to bring together the work of the Builders and Makers to create congruent story of the community, leveraging the history to help define the future.
